A beautiful handmade single breasted duffle coat with shaping seams at front to create a delightful fit that suits all sizes from 6-22.
The luxuriously warm 70% wool mix fabric comes from the base of the Italian Apennine Mountains. This glorious fabric is woven from fine yarns and then steamed to create a truly weatherproof finish that is warm, wind resistant and maintains its good looks for years.
The interior checked lining is matched from the hem so that all seams run together- again you will not find this detail on ordinary duffle coats.
Each panel is individually hand pressed during the making process and the whole coat is given a final hand pressing to create that unique look that comes from only the very best coats.
The saddle shoulder is a separate piece which is sewn onto the shoulder of the coat to give extra protection.
The attached hood folds flat against the shoulder when not in use. The hood also features adjustable side straps which close around the face if needed. There is also the benefit of a martingale (throat tab) to give extra weather protection, and this can be folded back when not in use.
The leather hasps that hold the toggles are laid flat before a strong cord is run through the centre and the leather is sewn either side of the cord to create a fabulous long lasting detail that sets this garment apart from the normal duffle.
